Website Promotion, getting your site noticed
There are essentially two methods of promoting your website, pay per click and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Pay per click relies on you funding the postion of your website based on a budget and the number of people who click on your link in Google (for example).
You may have noticed when you do a search that the results to the right of the search panel are like those shown above. In the above example Hewlett Packard will have agreed a fee for each click that they get by way of a search based on certain keywords. Perhaps "IT Services" for example. The bigger the fee, the better the results you will get.
However this system is open to abuse and the same or better results can be achieved by promoting the site via SEO.
People are prepared to pay big money to be at the top of Google. It's no surprise then that many companies will abuse the criteria set out by the major search engines to achieve short term gains for their customers. Naturally, the search engines have got round this by constantly refining the criteria against which websites are measured. So SEO is an ongoing activity if you want to maintain or improve your position on the web.
It is vital that both parties (you as the customer and us as the provider of the service) invest time in understanding what your market is, where it is and what products and services you want to promote.
Our approach to SEO is research driven and requires detailed analysis of your main competitors. Results are rarely delivered over night. Progressive movement up the search engine listings is realistic and achievable.
